Diabetes education is a service provided to our patients who have been diagnosed with diabetes. The instruction assists patients in understanding and managing the disease to achieve an optimal level of health.

Our diabetic education program provides comprehensive support to our diabetic patients and their families. Information is provided on all aspects of diabetic management and control including:

  • Meal planning
  • Weight control
  • Activity and exercise planning
  • Medications
  • Self blood glucose monitoring
  • Sick day management
  • Gestational diabetes guidance
  • Stress management, risk reduction and problem solving
