Dr. Shear Joins Reedsburg Physicians Group

Reedsburg Physicians Group is pleased to announce that Mary Beth Shear, M.D. has joined the group as our newest Family Practice physician. Dr. Shear is a graduate of Valparaiso University and completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford. She practices the full breadth of family medicine services from pediatrics to geriatrics and enjoys taking care of the whole family with a holistic approach to health. Dr. Shear previously practiced at Kishwaukee Medical Associates in Sycamore, Illinois.

Although Dr. Shear will miss her former patients after practicing 22 years in Sycamore, Illinois, she is excited to be relocating to a familiar area. She has been visiting the Reedsburg area for over 20 years since her husband, Jim, is from Hillsboro. Dr. Shear will be living in Wonewoc, near Dutch Hollow Lake, with her husband and two sons, ages 17 and 19. Her husband is currently working as director of surgical and ambulatory services at St. Joseph Hospital in Hillsboro. Dr. Shear and her family are excited about this opportunity to be closer to family and to become a part of the Reedsburg community.
