Emergencies

What is an emergency? This can only be defined by you, the patient. If you feel a life-threatening situation exists, immediately call 911 for emergency service.

Messages

Our telephone operator takes messages for the providers and nursing staff. When you call please leave your name, a phone number where you can be reached, and a message describing the reason for your call. The message, along with your medical record, will be directed to the appropriate staff member for handling. Every effort will be made to address phone messages promptly.

Urgent Calls

If your call is not regarding a life threatening situation but you feel it is urgent, please relay the nature of the urgency to the telephone operator so the call may be appropriately handled.

Prescription Refills

Routine prescription refills are best handled at the time of your office visit. However, if you need a prescription refill authorized, please contact your provider during regular office hours - a day or two before you need your medication refilled.

After Hours, Holidays and Weekends

A full-time emergency room physician is available at Reedsburg Area Medical Center. If you feel non-life threatening treatment is necessary during the hours that we are closed, you may go directly to Reedsburg Area Medical Center for your urgent care needs.

Reedsburg Physicians Group has a physician on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Outside of regular office hours, the doctor on call can be reached by calling Reedsburg Area Medical Center (608)524-6487.
